The brief

Selling houses that never reach a portal.

Aurea is an independent brokerage run from Vilamoura by the two directors who make every introduction. Their market, the stretch of the Algarve between Quinta do Lago, Vale do Lobo and Vilamoura, is already well served by portals that all look the same and all list the same homes. What Aurea sell is the opposite of that: discretion, and access to houses the portals never see.

Their buyers are high net worth and usually purchasing from another country, often several time zones from the property. So the site had to be credible in English and Portuguese, and it had to be honest. Every home on it is a real record from Aurea’s own system, and the ones held back are genuinely held back.

What we built

Two languages, one source of truth.

English and Portuguese, in step

Every page exists in both languages, and navigation keeps you in the one you chose. Copy is written for each locale rather than machine-translated, and a check in the build stops the two drifting apart.

Listings straight from eGO

Properties and developments are read from Aurea’s own eGO account, so the site shows what their system says and nobody re-keys a price. If the feed fails it says so, rather than quietly serving stale sample homes.

The members portal

Members sign in with a six-digit code and see early-access and off-market homes alongside the public register, track the price of anything they are following, and put concierge and viewing requests straight to the team.

The Visa Atlas and guides

An interactive globe that charts the routes to Portuguese residency from the country you are leaving, sitting alongside plain guides to buying, tax and the real cost of running an Algarve home.

The members portal

Some houses are never listed.

Sellers at this level often will not have their home advertised. Aurea tag those properties in eGO as off-market or early-access, and the portal decides on the server who is allowed to see them. A member signs in with a six-digit code, their collection simply contains more than the public one, and the prices they are following are tracked for them.

  • Six-digit member codes, no passwords to lose
  • Visibility enforced on the server, not by hidden links
  • Off-market and early-access tiers set in eGO
  • Price tracked on every home a member follows
  • Price drops emailed the day they happen
  • Concierge and viewing requests logged, not lost
Where it’s at

Live, bilingual, and telling the truth.

Aurea Properties is live at aureapropertiespt.com in English and European Portuguese. Aurea publish guides and partner profiles themselves through a Payload admin, and their agents keep working in eGO exactly as they did before, which is the only realistic way a two-person office keeps a site current.

The parts that matter are the quiet ones: access decided on the server, an eGO outage reported as an error instead of papered over, and a build that refuses to ship if the English and Portuguese have fallen out of step. If you are selling something where trust is the product, that is the standard worth holding.

Got something to build?

Multiple languages, a system of record you can’t replace, and customers who need to trust every number on the page. That’s our kind of brief.
