The brief

A startup that couldn’t afford to drown in admin.

Railshine launched into a demanding niche: cleaning services for the rail industry, where contracts span multiple sites and standards are non-negotiable. As a new business, every hour spent on rotas, job sheets and stock counts was an hour not spent winning work. They needed a professional public face and an operational backbone that would let a small team run like a much bigger one.

What we built

One connected system, front of house to depot.

Public website

A credible, professional web presence that helps a young company win commercial rail contracts.

ShineOS scheduling

Jobs and shifts planned across sites in one calendar the whole team can see, with no more spreadsheet juggling.

Job & site tracking

Work logged as it happens with on-site staff in the loop, so progress and issues are visible in real time.

Inventory & supplies

Materials and consumables tracked against jobs, so crews turn up stocked and nothing runs out mid-contract.

The ShineOS portal

The day’s work, on one board.

ShineOS gives Railshine a single view of every site, shift and job. Work is scheduled once, crews see exactly where they need to be, and completed jobs come back with the detail the office needs, without a single chasing phone call.

  • Jobs scheduled across multiple sites
  • Crews see their day at a glance
  • Completion logged from the field
  • Inventory tracked against jobs
  • Customer & contract records
  • Admin that mostly does itself
The outcome

“It cut our admin time by 50%.”

That’s Jack Gale of Railshine Ltd on what ShineOS changed: “The ShineOS portal transformed how we manage our cleaning services. We love the seamless scheduling experience, and our operational efficiency has improved dramatically.”

Railshine runs lean because the system carries the load. It is exactly what a startup needs from its software. If you’re starting something operational, this is the shape of build we’d point you at.

Got something to build?

Starting up or scaling up? If admin is eating your week, we can fix that.
